"THE APOSTOLIC PERSPECTIVE- THE CHURCH AND MONEY:

1 Timothy 6:10 (KJV) "
Apostle David Rodgers

Trees

“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

The scriptures are CLEAR that the LOVE OF MONEY, not MONEY itself, is the root of all evil. Financial ignorance, along with financial manipulation, has become a barrier to the church adopting healthy financial practices. Further, it engenders financial education and investment to empower GOD’s people and GOD’s church to make a significant impact in the community and in the nations. Poor people, those who have been oppressed and impacted by the lack of financial means, tend to take financial injustice or the appearance of financial injustice more seriously than the financially stable ones.

As Apostles and Apostolic People, we have an awesome task of rewriting the financial narrative for the church and making a clear distinction between US and the BABYLONIAN COUNTERFEIT CHURCH, whose god is Mammon! You don’t have to TEACH GIVING—giving is a natural result of a transformed heart! What we MUST TEACH is personal economic stewardship, small business development, and Group Investment Strategies!

The true church of JESUS CHRIST must build economic engines that create opportunity, employment, and tangible investment in our community, both in the church and the community at large! We must create educational institutions that focus on building business leaders to dominate creativity, innovation, and technology! We can’t continue to ride horses while the world around us is flying in jets! Our theological construct around tithes and offerings must be sacrificed for a New Testament Model that encompasses sustained and growing financial investment! If we are unwilling to make the necessary changes, we will be arguing about outdated giving models until the church eventually dies from financial starvation.

If your commitment to “tithing” is stronger than your commitment to building an ECONOMY, you are the problem!
