Dear Daddy,

 

Where do I start? I must start by saying that I’m immensely honored that God chose me to be your daughter. You were the first man that I ever loved. I remember as a little girl after you would come home from a hard day’s work, sitting on your lap taking in every word you would speak while gently rubbing your ears. You are my real-life hero. The impact that you have had in my life has left me feeling like I can accomplish anything that I put my mind to. I’m sure that raising me brought you many challenges and in some moments left you praying fervently for me, but I believe that my success today is because you along with God never gave up on me. 

 

Thank you for showing my sister’s and I what hard work looks like. Your strong work ethics that you’ve exemplified over the years has given us a sense of security which has created a foundation for me as a wife, mother, and entrepreneur. 

 

It has been an honor to walk side by side with you in ministry. You’ve taught me to live a life of integrity and to fear God in all of my ways. You have demonstrated what humility looks like and have always encouraged me to understand that we’re God’s chosen vessels and we should never think more highly of ourselves than we should. Your life has been the example that has led me to my success. 

 

Thank you for being patient with me and listening to me when I’ve been most vulnerable. These moments were important to my development as a woman and as a leader. Your unconditional love and support of my gifts and the anointing over my life have many times challenged me to push beyond the norm and to operate in a spirit of excellence. 

 

Lastly, I want to thank you for showing me what a phenomenal husband looks like. Your unwavering integrity and loyalty as a husband allowed me to understand what a husband should represent. As a result, I have been blessed to do life with a man that carries the same values and shows me the same love that you have shown our mother. Thank You!!
