Agape Council of the Blind Presents

Annual Prayer Breakfast

Honoring Mr. Duke DuVall with the Dr. Bessie Reece Excellence Award

The Agape Council of the Blind, an affiliate of the Missouri Council of the Blind (MCB), is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting the overall well-being of all legally blind individuals. Our mission is to be a positive influence throughout the community by providing advocacy, encouragement, and opportunities for personal growth and independence. We actively engage in efforts that promote health, education, and employment opportunities for the blind and visually impaired.

Each year, the Agape Council of the Blind hosts its Annual Prayer Breakfast — a time of fellowship, great food, inspiring music, and powerful testimonies that encourage all to walk by faith and not by sight.

This year, we are proud to honor Mr. Duke DuVall and present him with the Dr. Bessie Reece Excellence Award.

The award is named in loving memory of Dr. Bessie Reece — a true trailblazer, advocate, and Minister of the Gospel. Though visually impaired all her life, Dr. Reece never allowed her circumstances to define her. With unwavering faith and determination, she dedicated her life to empowering others and breaking down barriers for the blind and visually impaired community.

Dr. Reece served faithfully — to her family, her church, the Agape Council of the Blind, and the blind community at large. A lobbyist in Jefferson City for the Blind, she also ministered throughout Missouri prisons and the St. Louis County prison ministries, sharing hope, encouragement, and the message of love and redemption. Her selfless charge to serve truly embodied the very essence of excellence.

This year’s honoree, Mr. Duke DuVall, is President of DuVall Marketing & Development Group, Inc. and Director of Light of the World Ministries. For more than four decades, Mr. DuVall has inspired business leaders and believers across the globe through his Bible-based teachings, leadership seminars, and his daily “Moment of Inspiration” messages — encouraging countless individuals to live boldly in the love and power of Jesus Christ.

Join us for this uplifting occasion as we celebrate faith, service, and excellence! Enjoy heartfelt singing and powerful testimonies from those who are blind or visually impaired, bringing hope and inspiration to all who attend.
